Daddy's Little Angel

Angel was cuddled up beside me on the couch in a tiny little ball last Sunday morning. 

Daddy came out carrying his tee shirt, and instead of putting it on, he gave her a couple pats and gently covered her up. 

She is one blessed little dog...and her daddy loves her so...

Hey mom...pay attention to me!! 

Angel has a way of getting in between her humans and their laptops! Whether it's me or one of the girls, whenever we get the computer out to work, she decides it's Angel time. 

Quite funny, because we are always begging for her attention and she quite often ignores our efforts! 

Silly girl knows how to get what she wants. I gave her love and attention and ignored my computer until she jumped down! 

Angel's Spot

This is Angel's favorite "spot". She will sit on the deck at the top of the back steps and watch to see if the chipmunks come out to play. 

You can almost see a little boredom or maybe a little complacency in those pretty eyes. She loves a good go-around with a "chippy", but sometimes they just won't cooperate. They just tease her. 

This girl has me right square in her sweet little paw. Such a playful little stinker, who at the end of the day wants nothing more than to just love and be loved by her humans. 

What a life, the life of a dog! 

Vacationing Angel

Angel on vacation....a long 5 days of exhausting activity..

Natalie and Serena made her a daisy chain headband...so cute! She added the famous "coton head tilt" for added cuteness! 

Angel on the beach at Lake Michigan at sunset. She still doesn't like the water or the loud waves, but she likes people a lot more, so that is a start! 

I love this picture of Angel peeking at me, making sure I didn't get too far away! 

Last year I had to carry her up the sandy-hilled beach, and it was a chore! This year she was so excited that we both ran up the sandy hill all the way to the car. Exhausting! But what a fun evening at the beach. She loves to travel, but I think she prefers staying home! 

Angel's First Playdate!

Angel went on her very first play date with Sparkles, and although she was very nervous, Natalie and Serena think she may have enjoyed herself a tiny bit. 

Her involvement with other dogs since we adopted her has not been very positive, so we always try to find good opportunities to expose her to safe and gentle dogs. Sparkles was a perfect playmate, and the girls are friends with her human "sister". 😊

Angel kept her distance and was not too open to playing, but the girls want to keep trying so Angel can have friends too! 

Angel's checkup

Angel saw Dr. McNeilly today and received a good report! 

Her weight is a healthy 25 pounds, heart is good and strong, ears are clean, and eyes are clear and bright as always. 

A couple of months ago, Angel appeared to have had some sort of a seizure, which was very alarming. It was very brief, and did not happen again. The vet said this can happen once and not again, but to keep watch for it, and we will be doing just that. 

Angel came home from the vet with a new toy, some treats, and a desire to chase down some chipmunks! I guess you could say she handled her doc visit just fine. Hope her offspring enjoy the same great health as their mama! 

Snoring Angel

Angel is doing great and is as sweet as ever! We're just really busy with an almost-graduate in the house, so I have less time to post about her adventures. 

She fell asleep on my lap a few nights ago, and was soon snoring with her mouth open. It was quite a sight! 

She is so precious and cuddly. She loves to be held and spoiled, and with 4 willing humans, she is in heaven! 

I think she's snoring and smiling at the same time. Funny girl..I was laughing so hard that it was shaking her, but she just kept on sleeping!

I guess she was in dreamland. 

And so are we, with the perfect dog! 

Game Night Angel

Angel loves that we are a basketball-watching house! It means that we are often camped on the couch with her in between us! 

And sometimes she is a wonderful armrest too...

And she's always so sweet and cuddly! 

She rarely gets excited about the game, though, and only wakes up when it's popcorn time. :) 

Heater Hound

Think she's a little spoiled? 

We turn that little heater on for her when she comes in from the outside. 

Some days I would love to be her!
